While going through a particularily difficult time, the image of walking side by side with a lion gave me great strength. I wanted to do more than just imagine the image, I needed it on my wall!  It took many months of ideas until it fell into place with this finished piece.The first time I showed it to anyone was at our local Art Guild show, it was met with a tremendous response and won the prestigious People's Choice Award. When I went back after the w/e to retrieve it, so I could hang it on my wall,  it was gone, it had been sold!!  I was so surprised, being it was such a personal piece, but I guess there was a young woman out there whose father, felt she needed it more! I really love this piece.
Process: Painted with acrylics on masonite and enhanced with construction paper crayons. The image is an actually photo of me that was added in a collage style.
